Now that I'm at work I can confirm that Sun has basically p0wn3d all the busses that go to Redmond -- inside and out. This new ad campaign for OpenOffice is directly targeted at Microsoft employees with slogans like "Us-opoly," "Stop giving a bully your lunch money," "We do windows, too," "Pick a vendor, any vendor," and "Aged reptilians welcome." This only confirms my suspicion that Sun's executive management is more interested in "beating Microsoft" than in "creating shareholder value." Seriously, they're spending a ton of money advertising a free product. Looks like they've found a new zero-billion-dollar market to tap into!
