The Ikea "Jerker" desk -- in addition to having a dirty name -- is the ultimate infinitely extensible computer desk.
The dilemma: my new apartment has a 7' x 6.5' "cube" room with no apparent purpose; it was the only place I could reasonably fit my computer desk and my music equipment.
Version 1.0 was a disaster, with essentially no room for anything more than my chair and with most everything at an undesirable height.
Version 2.0, with Jerker, has produced a very techno-elite setup that even the most alpha of geeks will have to bow to. Also, it seems to, y'know, work well.
